Judith Wright

I grew up in a small town in the Missouri Ozarks that had no art classes; however, my mother was a trained commercial artist as well as an elementary teacher. She was my inspiration and my mentor. After a 34 year career as a special eduction professional, I retired and began to focus on what had always been my primary interest: creating art. I’ve been influenced by a number of well known artists and have had the honor and benefit of studying with a number of them. Most of my energy and focus recently has been on abstract acrylics and fused glass, although I still dabble with watercolors and mixed media. I teach a number of classes in different media and am a member of the Sandpiper Art Gallery & Gifts where my work is shown.
